The summer of 1981 seized by a warped temporality, an attenuated present.” “Ford’s drawings, in one sense allow for a chronicling of a disappearing London, being acutely aware of the city as a site of transience and rapid redevelopment. … Most recently she has been making large scale billboard installations and flyposters to make direct interventions in contested zones. She makes references throughout the work to the crashes and recessions of recent decades whilst projecting into an uncertain and sometimes dystopian future.”

Laura Oldfield Ford, født 1973, er en kunstner, fanzineskaper, ‘psykogeograf’ og aktivist fra London. Hun har en BA i Maleri fra Slade School of Art, 2008. Noen av hennes siste prosjekter inkluderer London 2013, Drifting Through the Ruins, Hales Gallery, London(2009) og The Apparatus poster project, Arnolfino, Bristol(2011). Boken hennes Savage Messiah blir publisert på Verso forlag nå i høst.
