Susanna Wallumrød er sanger/musiker og låtskriver, og grunnlegger av duoen Susanna and the Magical Orchestra.

Sammen med keyboardist Morten Qvenild/Magical Orchestra har hun utgitt følgende tre album:

“List of lights and buoys” fra 2004, “Melody Mountain” fra 2006 and “3″ fra 2009. Innimellom arbeidet med duoen, startet Susanna også å opptre som Susanna, og har utgitt albumene som heter “Sonata Mix Dwarf Cosmos” i 2007 og “Flower of Evil” i 2008. Alle disse fem albumene speiler Susanna‘s utsøkte evner for både låtskriving og personlige tolkninger av andres sanger. Og alle disse albumene har mottatt strålende omtale, og anbefales sterkt både i Europa og USA.

Susanna har turnért i duo og trio-format i Europa, USA, Kina og Japan i mange år allerede. Hun har spilt på festivaler som Big Chill, London Jazz Festival, SONAR, SPOT, SonarSound, Moscow Art Festival, Molde International Jazz festival, Montreal Jazz festival, Vancouver Jazz festival blant mange fler, og på konsertsteder som Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, AB i Brussel og La Cigale i Paris.

Andre prosjekter Susanna har vært involvert i er å komponere tekst og musikk sammen med den fantastiske komponisten og artisten Jenny Hval, som bestillingsverk til festivalen Ladyfest, og komponere stykket “The Forester” til barokk-duoen Holmertz/Bock. Hun har samarbeidet med den amerikanske artisten Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy både på scenen og i innspilling. Hennes musikk har blitt arrangert for og fremført sammen med Ensemble neoN, og nylig har hun komponert musikk til dikt av Gunvor Hofmo, utgitt av Grappa Musikkforlag. Hun samarbeider også med barokkharpist Giovanna Pessi, og deres versjoner av bl.a. Henry Purcell og Leonard Cohen vil utgis på ECM i oktober 2011.

For tiden turnérer Susanna med musikken sin i forskjellige konstellasjoner.
