Later, at one point, I realized that the Tintin comics about the Moon were created seventeen years prior to the first Moon landing. This had been my image of the moon, and it somehow continues to be, the pale Apollo photographs did not have the same immersive power. This was a serious story about a grown up world, perhaps impossible to reach.

Hergé hardly left his own house; he based his comics on clippings from books and newspapers.

His body of work was marked by artistic compromise.

Det handler ikke om flukt is a remake of Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon, where all traces of human existence have been attempted removed. All that remains is fragmented, repetitive landscapes seen from the earth, from space and from the moon. For the Holodeck exhibition the 128 book pages are hung in two roughly circular formations.
