PINK CUBE presents: Battle05: Jacqueline Forzelius vs. Sara Christensen

[Bilde]

PINK CUBE is a non-profit art space with pink walls. This autumn the big box with body-fluid-paint was moved to the new premises at Grønland to let the unique colour shine once again. For the fifth battle in PINK CUBE Swedish Forzelius arrives from Gothenburg to fight against a Dane.

Jacqueline Forzelius is 29 years old, 172 centimeters, weighs 59 kilos and has an IQ of…210. Just like anyone, she thinks a lot, and sometimes she thinks she has come up with something important, which she documents with video or text. The documentation seems to amuse some people, but she never knows whether people laugh with or at her. However this does not stop her, as she always believes she can’t be wrong. Forzelius has a BFA from Bergen National Academy of Art and a MFA from Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. Her projects have been shown e.g. at Rotterdam International Film Festival, Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Center in Istanbul and the Short Film Festival in Grimstad.

Sara Christensen (1979) works with a variety of media, depending on the specific demands or requirements of each project. She is interested in a materials potential for expansion and mutability and finds the abstract and physical space between objects intriguing. Most of her works have a humoristic aspect, sometimes involving wordplays and puns, but with slightly uncomfortable undertones. Christensen is educated from the Academy of Fine Art in Oslo and The Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna. Last years activity includes solo exhibitions at Galleri K and Semikolon in Oslo alongside initiating and participating in several group exhibitions. For Battle 05 she will present new works in the category of sculpture and painting.
