DinahBird and Jean-Philippe Renoult will present Radio Three and a Half – a compilation of audio works that play hommage to the radio and tape recording. They hope to be joined by like minded individuals and the insatiably curious, and that we can all have a drink and a good chat afterwards.

DinahBird is a radio artist and feature maker living and working in Paris and London.
She makes radio programmes, audio publications, installations, and soundtracks. Her narrative based sound collages are a poetic flux of storytelling, anecdote, music and field recordings. Recent commissions include When Silence Sings, a composed soundscape for BBC R3’s Between The Ears, Natures Construites, a sound/video collaboration that documents urban transformation in Northern Paris, and Songs of the Brewery, an in-situ sound installation for Cork, European Capital of Culture, 2005. Works have been played on BBC R4, France Culture’s Atelier de Création Radiophonique, Resonance FM and on Kunst Radio. She is presently employed by the Museum of Modern Art, Paris to develop a programme of sound workshops in relation to their permanent and temporary collections.

Jean-Philippe Renoult is a writer, radio producer and sound artist based in Paris. DinahBird is a radio artist living and working in Paris and London.Together, and independantly, they make radio programmes, audio publications, installations, and soundtracks. Recent collaborations include Topographies Nocturnes, a radio art project which was awarded the prestigious Prix Luc Ferrari and Dakar Morning Birds, a radio installation that transposed the dawn chorus of the Senegalese capital to an inner city garden in Northern Paris. Their work has been played on BBC Radio 3 and 4, France Culture’s Atelier de Création Radiophonique, Resonance FM, Kunst Radio, ABC Classic, through the Radia network and has been presented at radio festivals in France, England, Germany and USA.
