OSLX - the oslo experiment

In this workshop Magnhild Fossum and Mats Sivertsen will explain and demonstrate how they developed the sensor system for OSLX – The Oslo Experiment – from both a movement and sound perspective. We invite all participants to practically explore and experience movement with the OSLX sensor system. Magnhild and Mats will also share challenges and possibilities they have discovered during creating the technology and their performance. All participants are welcome to share thoughts, ideas and questions throughout the workshop.

About OSLX
We premiered OSLX – The Oslo Experiment in 2010 with our first interactive dance installation. Our aim is to develop new expressions both in movement and sound to reach out to our audience in new and more dynamic ways. The project is cross-disiplinary and consists of Magnhild Fossum (dancer/choreographer), Mats Sivertsen (visual artis and designer), Leon Muraglia (composer) and Vera de Vlieger (dramaturge). We have since performed and developed OSLX at various locations such as The National Gallery of Zimbabwe, various music festivals and dance venues, lately with the exploratory festival On The Edge of Wrong 2012.
