Småtalk’s second installment is a conversation with the architect Patrick Lüth, representing Snøhetta about the regionals’ area at Heinemann Duty Free Shop / Gardermoen Airport in Oslo.

A special feature of the Heinemann Duty Free Shop in Oslo is the regionals’ area, highlighting Norwegian specialties.

Eastern Norway (Østlandet) is a vast landscape is dominated by its glacial rock formations, its lush vegetation and the changing sky.

The interpretation and re-composition of these elements form the ingredients for the resulting interior concept, which is an abstract display of what nature means to Norway – the feel of natural environment with its fertile greenery, fresh air and water, dramatic views and light.

“Norway is the park of Europe where everybody has “allemannsrett”, or the principle of freedom to roam. In other words, the nature of Norway – its parks, mountains and coastline – is open to everyone", says Kjetil T. Thorsen.
