BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer) Oslo!!!

We invite you to join us in hosting the first Norwegian version of the international open source art project BYOB – a series of one-night-exhibitions around the world exploring the medium of projection.

The idea is simple: Find a place, invite many artists, and ask them to bring their projectors.

“Featuring an array of artists that span across disciplines, BYOB has an open structure that allows for impulse and experimentation, while placing responsibility for the physical format and engagement of the exhibition directly in the hands in the participants.  The individual works will often overlap and sometimes even merge, producing an environment that is more than the sum of its parts.”

On Thursday 21 June we will funnel as many artists as we can possibly fit into Sukkerbiten. Each artist can project whatever they want, wherever they want, on what ever is in the space at the time. Being a part of BYOB is a great opportunity to get international exposure, be inspired and have fun!

☺ Simple terms and guidelines:

  1. open to anyone – spread the word!
  2. If you know you are definitely going to show something it would be great if you can send us an email [email protected]  so we can get an idea of numbers. However you can still show even if you dont email!
  3. bring your own beamer/video projector, video playing device and extension cord
  4. we only provide power sockets access
  5. find your own spot on the day
  6. plug and play
  7. places allocated on a first come, first-served basis
