As Venus moves across the face of the Sun, one of the rarest planetary alignments for us to witness, several other celestial events take place world-wide, also in Tidens Krav.


Sjassa B. Lovejoy visits Oslo as part of his Great Parade also known as “the young and optimistic explorations of the queer-shaman artist” with a show at Tidens Krav in which he will set up a special healing-massage-spa-shrine, that is specialized in creating tender moments for those selected, asked or willing. Sjassa will be present in the showroom-spa-cube all weekend and will be assisted by his beloved assistant Yelena (also known as Lena). Sjassa will also be available for sessions at several nudist beaches and midnight-cruizing-areas in and around Oslo outside of Spa Hours, meeting him there must be faith- and/or chance-based and hopefully does not include heavy rainfall.

TIDENS KRAV’S TELE-APPLICATION PROGRAM

Tidens Krav is terribly proud to present its tele-application program. In the fall of 2011, Tidens Krav announced an open call for calls. Artists and curators were invited to submit a project proposal orally, through calling Tidens Krav’s automated tele-application service. The rules were simple: the caller could only use the spoken word to convey their project proposal. Any reference to visual material or documentation of their work or practice, was disregarded. This left Tidens Krav fumbling in the dark, with a sometimes clear, other times muffled, singing, drunken or stuttering voice as its only guidance. By the deadline, the 3rd of december, Tidens Krav had received 82 calls from 16 different countries. It was a long and sometimes painstaking process to boil these down to 7 shows, as so many of the proposed projects were very appealing. That being said, we are very happy about the outcome. Proposals by the following artists and curators were accepted:
