firmitas – as long as humans have built, the idea of city and architecture as a stable background for the theatre of human life has always been present. Actually firmitas is strongly related if not congruent with culture itself.
Klaus Schuwerk talks about the theory of firmitas in relation to his projects, among others the new National Museum of Norway.

The aim is to locate various perspectives on artistic practice in a broader context, as well as keeping an ongoing dialogue with the art community at large.
