Shoot Gallery is proud to host Rosie and 21 Men – Sølve Sundsbø’s first solo show in Norway.

Sølve Sundsbø is one of the great innovators in contemporary image-making. His photographs have been included in some of the most significant fashion photography exhibitions. Recent projects include the film installation commissioned by W Magazine, “The Ever Changing Face of Beauty”, at the Park Avenue Armoury in NY and his “Perroquets” exhibition at GunGallery in Stockholm. He also created the catalogue for “Savage Beauty”, the Alexander McQueen retrospective at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Sølve Sundsbø has a capacity for visual experimentation that has brought him enduring respect within the industry. He was born and raised in Norway and, since his move to London in 1995, has shot campaigns for many of the world’s great fashion houses including Chanel, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana. He shoots editorials for magazines as diverse as Italian Vogue, Love, i-D and W. In 2011, his New York Times Oscar portfolio “14 Actors Acting” won an Emmy.

“Sølve Sundsbø doesn’t take photographs.
He creates photographs.
That’s the basis for this exhibition.
A naked man or a female monkey – it doesn’t matter.
This is not an exhibition of what Sølve Sundsbø has been photographing for the past twenty years.
It’s an exhibition that shows a photographer who changes our perception of reality somewhat.
By making it his own.”
– Greger Ulf Nilson
