[Open Forum] Adrian Paci

[Bilde]

Adrian Paci (b. 1969, Albania) lives and works in Milan, Italy. The artist writes,

“The state of transit interests me in my work. There are subjects that are more exposed to this state of transit, just as there are times in life where this state is more intense, so my work concentrates on those subjects and on those times. In any case, as an artist I am always interested in how the flow of life takes shape in the work by entering the inner folds of expression without making it simply an illustrated subject.”

Paci’s works have been shown around the world and solo exhibitions include Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea (Milan), Jeu de Paume (Paris), National Gallery of Kosovo (Prishtina), Peter Kilchmann (Zurich), Galeria e Arteve Shkoder (Shkoder), Bloomberg Space (London), Istanbul Modern (Istanbul), Peter Blum (NY), and PS1 MoMA (NY). Most recently in Norway, he was part of Unfinished Journeys at Museet for samtidskunst (Oslo), curated by Sabrina van der Ley. Some of the upcoming solo exhibitions in 2014 also include Röda Sten Konsthall (Göteborg) and Trondheim Kunstmuseum (Trondheim).
