COUNTDOWN started out at the end of 2008 in the subburbs of the belgian capital Brussels, often being compared to bands like Ringworm and Integrity, these young guys create a crushingly fierce and raw kind of hard/metalcore taking along a lot of sludge, and even doom metal influences. Gaining the reputation of an incredibly heavy, angry and pissed off liveband they quickly started performing all over the place to spread their music to as much people as possible.
Over the past 3 years we have done no less than 8 DIY-booked tours all around Europe (over 25 different countries) and a trip alongside the west-coast of the United States of America sharing stages with Bane, H2O, Death Before Dishonor, No Turning Back, Most Precious Blood, Trapped Under Ice, Lionheart, Cruel Hand, Rise and Fall, Bracewar, The Mongoloids, Alpha and Omega and much more!
Following the release of their highly anticipated debut LP ‘The World of Us and We’ on Power Sludge Records they are now ready to put out their next even heavier effort, recorded at the Hearse Studio (Rise and Fall, Oathbreaker) and mixed/masterd by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Converge, Mastodon, Agnostic Front,…) The EP ‘Blinded Souls’ will be released in February 2012 on Marked For Death Records.
