Kunstnerduoen Elastic Offsprings viser skulpturelle og performative (live) videoverk. De forløser ideer og formalistiske spenninger ved å behandle materialer som f.eks. lateks, og interagerer og kommuniserer med intime steder som representerer en viss form for kulturell og historisk eiendom (hoteller, kontorer, konsertsaler etc).
EO viser skyggen av menneskelig frykt og glede. Disse episodene kan kun observeres gjennom skjermer og projeksjoner.
Elastic Offsprings: An artist duo executing sculptural performative (live) video works. EO works with sculptural narratives in a materialistic spoofy manner, they absorb and release formalistic tension to objects made of shiny latex and other elastic materials. EO interacts with cultural property and intimate spaces such as hotelrooms and offices.
The two characters play in the dark, showing different sides of their common artistic process in an ambivalent fashion. Their actions refelct fear of human interaction. Through the screen, and through the screen only, they situate and present the private room.
