The Buddhist wisdoms and techniques that we’ll learn this weekend impart a deeper meaning to our lives. It is all too easy to forget ourselves in the hectic of everday life, the days, weeks, years pass, and on the surface we may perhaps have achieved a great deal – job, career, family, wealth, or fame, but how much of all of this remains when we grow old, sick, and die? What have we built up on the inside that will sustain us when things don’t go so well and when we lose that which is dear to us?

There are simple and effective meditations that can help us develop an inner strength which is not dependent upon external conditions and which grants us joy and happiness all day and night. It is precisely these meditations that we’ll become familiar with throughout this weekend.
