    Stress, frustration and anger are common experiences in modern life. These painful states of mind can arise when we encounter challenging situations and difficult people. If irritation or anger is not recognized early on it can become a poison that destroys our happiness and interferes with our relationships.

    During this course Gen Dragpa will explain what karma is, how it works and how we can use an understanding of karma to improve our lives. The law of karma is a special instance of the law of cause and effect that is related to our actions of body, speech and mind. By living in accordance with this principle we can start freeing ourselves from our daily obstacles and create the life experiences we want.

    This short city retreat is an opportunity to become familiar with Buddhist meditation and in particular the meditations on the stages of the path to enlightenment. These meditations, known as Lamrim, have the power to improve our good qualities (love, compassion and wisdom) and increase our inner peace and happiness. We will also do breathing meditation to calm and relax our mind before the Lamrim meditations.
