Oh my gosh! – We are proud and honoured to welcome the true don of drum & bass and founder of he liquid funk sound to grace our shores for Musikkensdag!
Fabio and Grooverider were the pioneers of drum & bass in the UK starting out and met playing rare groove, soul, jazz & hip hop on pirate radio in the mid 80ś.
It was when listening to their sound at their night Rage in the early 90ś- that converted Goldie to d&b.
Fabio also created another seminal club night “Speed”, where with queues around the block, he and LTJ Bukem charted the course of an increasingly experimental-minded scene.
Fabio is a true DJ, rather than producer and his Creative Source label has developed the careers of producers like Alex Reece, Wax Doctor and Hidden Agenda.
Fabio hosts a show on BBC Radio One, he mixed the Fabric 10 CD, & he still runs his long running club night “SWERVE”-now at the End club since legendary Velvet Rooms closed.
