Antoine Chessex and Valerio Tricoli, both internationally active in the experimental music scenes since more than a decade, team up for this Scandinavian tour. The two composers/performers will present each a solo work.

Chessex will perform a piece for saxophone and backtape where sustained textures played in real time melt with their sonic shadows on tape resulting in clusters resonating in the space. Tricoli will present a live piece for Revox B77 and devices displaying his unique approach of concrete electroacoustic music in an intense and ethereal trip of abstraction .

Valerio Tricoli is an italian composer, producer, curator and performer of electronic music.
His compositions bridge musique concrète and conceptual forms of sound (i.e. the radical interest in how reality, virtuality, memory relate to each other during the acoustic event): music, as a recorded or as a synthetically-modeled sound, is always hovering between the “here and now” of the event and the shady domain of memory – distant but at the same time present, like a déjà–vu experience .
He plays all around the globe and collaborates with musicians like Thomas Ankersmit, Anthony Pateras, Dean Roberts, Werner Dafeldecker, Robert Piotrowicz and Axel Dörner.
He is one of the founders of the Bowindo label/collective (“arguably the best thing to come out of Italy since Luigi Nono”, Dan Warburton, The Wire), and of the band 3/4HadBeenEliminated, a daring synthesis between improvisation, electro-acoustic composition and avant-rock sensitivity.

Antoine Chessex is a swiss composer, saxophone player and experimental musician born in 1980.
His sonic researches include compositions for ensembles, solo works, transdisciplinary projects and collaborations with other artists like Lasse Marhaug, Zbigniew Karkowski, Jerome Noetinger, Maja Ratkje, Chris Corsano, Robin Hayward, Burkhard Beins or Axel Dörner. Chessex´s works are based on the exploration of the physicality of sounds and spaces and deal with acoustic as much as electronic and electroacoustic mediums. He presents his works worldwide and appears at numerous international festivals and venues in the United States, China, Russia, Japan and all around Europe.
