Sommerfuglfisk (Butterflyfish) is guitarist and vocalist Nina Kristine Linge’s trio playing her own music. Remaining musicians are electric bass player Dan Peter Sundland and drummer Hans Hulbækmo. They met at the jazz department of Trondheim Music Conservatory, Norway. The music is composed by Nina and arranged by the band with a generous amount of improvisational freedom.
Nina’s colorful compositions are inspired by textures affected by multiple layers of rhythms, and character from musical modes throughout the cosmos.

Sommerfuglfisk has played at different venues, jazz clubs and festivals like Trondheim Jazzfestival, Molde Jazzfestival, NRK P2 radio, Nasjonal Jazzscene, among others. Sommerfuglfisk will record their debut album at Bergland Production in fall 2011.
