Bassline Boutique moves to the Villa and kicks off its first outing of 2012; proudly presenting a headline act that truly are pioneers of the electronic music scene.
Flying in from a sell-out tour of Asia and Australia, the Plump DJs touch down for the first time ever in Oslo to present to you their unique sound, which has sent dancefloors and festivals across the world absolutely mental.

PLUMP DJS (UK) – Grand Hotel
Lee Rous and Andy Gardner, aka Plump DJs, have been performing and producing together since meeting in the late 1990’s. Since the start of their career they have been avid pioneers of diverse electronic music, smashing into the early breaks scene and since then, keeping the electro, house and bass music fields supplied with their ever-evolving beats.
They truly cemented their status as industry heavyweights through the success of still legendary releases such as ‘A Plump Night Out’ and ‘Eargasm’, which in turn led to the run of their epic Eargasm and Headthrash parties at London clubbing institution, Fabric.
As artists they have developed their unique sound through the recently formed Grand Hotel Records imprint. A platform through which to not only release their own productions, Grand Hotel will showcase work from their endless list of collaborators and protégés, at all times supplying only the highest calibre output to their music hungry fanbase.
In between the release of recent Grand Hotel tracks, including Boomer and Light Fantastic, Plump DJs have found time to remix the likes of huge international heavyweights Deadmau5, Loops of Fury and Stanton Warriors. This dedicated studio time has resulted in their tracks played out by none other than Carl Cox, Moby, Crookers, Zinc, Kissy Sell Out, Zane Lowe and more, with stellar feedback flowing in from all directions.
Having already ticked off sell-out shows across the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia in recent months, the Plump DJs 2012 gig schedule is filling up at pace, seeing them set to play at the biggest UK and worldwide venues and festivals.
Koian vs. Get Matsui (NO/UK) – Mutate Records, Metafusion Soundsystem
Andreas Gresvik and Paul White otherwise known as Koian and Get Matsui respectively, need little introduction to Oslo’s party people, having played to packed dancefloors across the city.
Their sets defy genre, but are guaranteed to get the crowd jumping, with their frenetic beats and pounding basslines seamlessly interwoven with influences from across the musical spectrum.

Playing straight up dubstep with heavy influnces of ragga and hiphop. Takes you on a trip from mellow soothing bass to jump up riddims.

Fresh live set, mixing moombahton to dubstep. smashing bass heavy music using his trademark machine sampler in the set.
